Digital Competence Development Methodology (DCDM) Created byMatteo Mirigliano|Updated26 July 2024This methodological guide is aimed at practitioners and training providers in the field of education and digital skills, and specifically at those considering or implementing the DigComp framework, put forward by the European Commission to provide a common benchmark, against which digital skills and knowledge can be evaluated. The methodology describes experience in five European countries - Greece, Italy, Latvia, Romania, and Spain and can be used by formal, non-formal education providers of adult learning, including providers of opportunities targeting the vocational education and training sector (VET). On a general level, the implementation methodology can serve as source for inspiration of using DigComp to improve the competencies of citizens over the age of 25 with a low level of digital skills. Training providers can also find successful instructional design approaches and tools to support them in delivering trainings and courses aligned with the DigComp framework and tailored to individual learning outcomes.
