Digital Competence e-lessons for SMEs Created byMatteo Mirigliano|Updated24 July 2024The European e-competence framework (e-CF) offers a common language for professionals in the information and communication technology (ICT) field, recruiters and business entities. It allows employers to match ICT skills and competences to recruitment needs and make an accurate assessment of the needs for training and upskilling.Structured in three short video lessons, the resources walk users through the core elements of the European e-competence framework, the main ways in which it is being used by businesses to facilitate recruitment, and the benefits of implementing the framework within small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and business. With this approach, this resource aims to address an already identified gap within the European training landscape: the ability of SMEs to access and outreach to trained ICT professionals in order to reap the benefits of the digital transformation processes. In addition, SMEs can receive practical advice in a short and flexible form, to prepare their existing workforce better for the challenges brought about by digitalisation and emerging technologies, and equip workers with futureproof skills.Digital skills resource detailsWebsite linkOnline course ‘European e-competence Framework for SMEs’Target audienceDigital skills for the labour force.Digital skills for ICT professionals and other digital experts.Digital technology / specialisationSoftwareDigital skillsDigital skill levelBasicIntermediateAdvancedDigital ExpertGeographic scope - CountryAustriaBelgiumBulgariaCyprusRomaniaSloveniaCroatiaCzech republicDenmarkEstoniaFinlandFranceGermanyGreeceHungaryItalyIrelandMaltaLatviaLithuaniaLuxembourgNetherlandsPortugalPolandSwedenSpainSlovakiaShow moreShow lessIndustry - field of education and trainingInformation and Communication Technologies (ICTs) not further definedTarget languageEnglishGeographical sphereEU institutional initiativeTopology of competencesBased on the e-CFMethodologyBased on the European e-competence framework.
