The initiative focuses on rural communities by promoting the acquisition of digital and transversal skills that empower individuals to face future educational, professional and societal challenges. Through participatory self-analysis workshops, local needs and motivations for change are identified and used to co-create high-quality, context-based educational materials. These are complemented by targeted training for teachers and trainers, ensuring their capacity to effectively implement innovative digital learning activities and support long-term, inclusive digital transformation at community level.The training outlineOur Digital Village is a 30-hour modular training programme developed under the Our Digital Village Erasmus+ project, aimed at strengthening digital and transversal skills by equipping educators with the tools to deliver innovative digital education in formal and non-formal settings, especially in rural areas.The training helps teachers and trainers understand the importance of digital and transversal competencies and provides hands-on experience with key technologies such as robotics, coding, microcontrollers, 3D modelling & printing, and web development. The programme also covers pedagogical approaches, practical task design, assessment strategies, and integration of extra digital resources.Modules include:Transversal and Digital Skills – contextualising digital skills in educationPedagogical Application – guiding how to teach and adapt learningExploring Attractive Technologies – immersive, practical ICT topicsPractical Task Development – creating tailored learning activitiesAssessment Strategies – measuring and adapting learning progressExtra Resources Integration – expanding digital learning through additional toolsReflection & Future Support – reinforcing implementation and follow-up community support.The training supports the Our Digital Village Activity Kit, a set of structured ICT challenges designed to make digital education engaging and accessible.
