The Sound of Economics is Bruegel's podcast series that explores Europe’s big economic policy debates. Each episode gathers prominent experts and researchers to discuss a variety of issues and their implications and explores some of the work that Bruegel researchers have done in the area.

The episode 'Skills of the Future' discusses about how technological advancement will impact the workforce, the labour market and skills, and what are the opportunities and the challenges that the emerging technologies bring to the labour market. The issues raised are, for example: what is the actual impact of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) on the workforce? Or how can we steer technological change in a direction that integrates work and increases well-being? And what is the role of governments and businesses when it comes to helping employees adapt to the technological changes through pathways of reskilling, upskilling or tailored-made activities?
