Advanced Wireless Network Security (CYBER PRO TRAIN IT–ES-GR)

Start Date
07.July.2026
End date
09.Jul.2026

This training module provides participants with practical knowledge of advanced wireless network security, focusing on Wi-Fi protocols, wireless attacks, encryption mechanisms, rogue access points, and secure wireless infrastructure design.

Main objectives

This training module aims to provide participants with a practical understanding of wireless network security principles and the cybersecurity risks associated with modern wireless infrastructures. Participants will explore how wireless communications operate, how attackers exploit weaknesses in Wi-Fi environments, and how secure configurations protect digital systems.

The course introduces concepts such as wireless network architecture, SSIDs, encryption protocols including WPA2 and WPA3, authentication mechanisms, wireless segmentation, and secure access management. Learners will also examine common wireless attacks including deauthentication attacks, rogue access points, unauthorized interception, and insecure open Wi-Fi environments.

Special attention is given to wireless encryption, secure authentication, enterprise wireless environments, and network segmentation strategies that strengthen protection against unauthorized access and lateral movement.

Target

The training is designed for professionals, including SME employees, ICT practitioners, cybersecurity learners, students, network administrators, and Public Administration staff interested in strengthening their knowledge of wireless network security and secure infrastructure management.

Program

  • Introduction to Wireless Network Security
  • Wireless Architecture and SSIDs
  • WPA2, WPA3, and Authentication Mechanisms
  • Wireless Threats and Attack Scenarios
  • Rogue Access Points and Deauthentication Attacks
  • Network Segmentation and Secure Wireless Design
  • Practical Security Analysis and Exercises

Learning outcomes

After completing the training, participants will understand the security challenges affecting wireless networks, recognize common attack vectors, apply secure Wi-Fi configurations, and evaluate wireless protection mechanisms in enterprise and cloud-connected environments.

The course issues an OPEN BADGE recognizing the acquired cybersecurity and wireless network security skills.
