AI in Czech language: Developing critical thinking and working with text

An online course by the Czech National Pedagogical Institute (NPI), held on 10 November 2025, introduces the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the teaching of Czech language. Course materials, including recording, resources and supporting tools, can be found on NPI's website. 

About this course

The training webinar deals with the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the subject Czech language and literature for secondary schools, especially in the field of work with artistic text. The given prompts are focused in the first step on finding the story based on sufficiently specific criteria, then on creating a summary of the story and finally on considering the text from the perspective of the selected question. The presented methods can be used in both stylistic and literary education, at several levels of difficulty. 

Course prerequisites

Participants are advised to register for a chatbot (e.g. ChatGPT) before the course. The lecturer will work in ChatGPT.
