Cybercrime, cyber threats, and cybersecurity training is a two-day training that delves into the ever-evolving world of cybercrime and cybersecurity. Participants will gain practical insights into how cyber threats develop and how they can be identified. 

The training covers essential cybersecurity management concepts, legal frameworks, and organizational responsibilities. Through real-world examples, attendees will learn effective methods for securing their businesses and protecting against cyberattacks, ensuring continuity and compliance.

Participants will engage in cybersecurity risk assessments, incident management simulations, and phishing exercises. By the end of the training, participants will be better equipped to recognize cyber threats and respond effectively to cyber incidents. The course also emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity hygiene and employee readiness.

Day 1

  • Cybersecurity and data privacy: concepts and definitions
  • Legal environment and common cyber threats
  • Recognizing vulnerabilities and hybrid threats
  • The role of managers in cybersecurity and communication to employees
  • Internal documents and organizational security measures
  • Assessing employee readiness to respond to cyber threats

Day 2

  • Managing cyber incidents and the importance of incident reporting
  • Handling crises caused by cyberattacks and the role of responsible disclosure
  • Overview of institutions responsible for cybersecurity and examples of sanctions
  • Practical phishing exercises and risk assessment simulations

About Project EAGLE 

The course is developed under the framework of the EU-funded EAGLE project, an initiative that aims to contribute to development of vibrant European education communities and works with a range of business partners to identify existing skill/knowledge gaps and address them. The project is specifically dedicated to bringing concrete improvements for SMEs.
