"Cybersecurity of Industrial Control Systems" is an online course, developed in the framework of the EU-backed MERIT initiative. MERIT, which is funded by the Digital Europe Programme of the European Union, consolidates Europe's best minds in cutting-edge technologies to create a highly skilled workforce. 

The aim of the MERIT project is to create an educational ecosystem for training digital specialists by bringing together universities, industry partners, research centres, and technology organisations. MERIT focuses on the design of a joint Master's programme that addresses the market needs in Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and Cybersecurity to boost the number of specialists in these areas. 

About this course

Cybersecurity of industrial control systems protects industrial processes and equipment from threats. With increasing reliance on automation and computerized systems, it has become crucial to understand the unique vulnerabilities faced by industrial environments. 

This course delves into core areas like risk assessment, defense mechanisms, incident response, and regulatory compliance. The course addresses both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) security.
