European Master in Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries (AI4CI) Created byLaia Güell Paule|Updated30 April 2026Start Date01.January.2024BlendedThe European Master in Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries (AI4CI) is a European master programme that responds to a major challenge facing the entire European industrial sector: the need for professionals with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) applied to connected industries. The programme takes place in in five countries at six universities in France, Germany, Romania, Spain, and Ukraine. As AI continues to transform industries around the world, the shortage of professionals with these skills could hinder the European Union's progress towards an industrially competitive position. To address this challenge, the AI4CI project proposes a new curriculum focused on AI for connected industries.About the programmeThe Master Program’s faculty body includes world-class academics and industry experts. It takes place in Paris, Avignon, Mulhouse, Barcelona, Kiev, Cluj-Napoca, and Ulm, with some courses on-site, some courses offered in full remote modalities by partners, and some courses in hybrid mode (onsite for one, two or three sites, and remote for others).The master training program covers:Fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to networked systemsAdvanced automation systems for industrial networks and roboticsAdvanced network architectures, IoT, and computer systemsThe master is opened in the following European cities, in which mobility for 1 or 2 semesters is supported by the Erasmus+ framework:Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (CNAM), Paris, France CNAM Grand-Est (apprenticeship), Mulhouse, France Avignon Université, Avignon, France Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB), Cluj-Napoca, Romania National Technical University of Ukraine/Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (NTUU), Kyiv, UkraineUlm University, Ulm, Germany and integrates courses and traineeships offered and taught by personnel from companies and other universities:Eclexys (Switzerland)Green Communications (France)International Hellenic University (Greece)I2CAT (Spain)ITCL (Spain)AdmissionsThe AI4CI Master admits students with at least a bachelor in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, telecommunications engineering at the M1 (first year of master). Admission is also possible at the M2 (second-year) level in case of 4 years of university studies. B2 level in English is required for admission in the first year, and C1 in the second year.
