We are constantly bombarded with information from all directions: news, social media, online articles. But not all of the information is reliable. Some of it is intentionally designed to mislead, confuse, or distort our understanding of reality. This can make it hard to know what is true and what is not.

It provides practical tips and tools to help you recognise the different ways information can be manipulated, from subtle influence tactics to full-blown misinformation campaigns. By the end of the course, you will feel more confident in navigating today’s complex information landscape, spotting misleading content, and making informed decisions. This course helps you protect yourself from influence operations and stay in control of the information you trust.

There are no enrolment deadlines or formal assessments. You can complete the course at your own pace, and no prior knowledge of cybersecurity or media studies is required.

The course is free of charge and available online in all 24 official EU languages.
