Microcontroller Programming Basics (DIGITWIN4CIUE)

Microcontroller Programming Basics is a massive open online course (MOOC) developed by EUCEDIC, the European Center Of Excellence in Digitalisation of Infrastructures and Cities in the context of the Digital Twins for Complex Infrastructures and Urban Ecosystems (DIGITWIN4CIUE) project. 

About this course 

This MOOC introduces the fundamentals of embedded systems using the Arduino ecosystem and the Wowki simulation platform. It covers microcontroller architecture, bitwise programming, sensor integration, and data acquisition. The course is particularly relevant for infrastructure professionals seeking to understand how real-world sensor data and embedded control can be integrated into Digital Twin systems for smarter monitoring and predictive insights. 

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to understand and talk about Arduino Architecture. You will be able to explain key concepts surrounding microcontroller architecture, like sensor integration or data acquisition. You will also be able to support your arguments with real-world use cases in digital twins.
