The Faculty of Agronomic Positioning Engineers and Geoinformatics Engineers (ATM-M) of the National Technical University of Athens, in cooperation with the Faculties of Electrical Engineers and Computer Engineers (HM) and Metallogist Engineers (MIM), is organising a Geoinformatics TRMIS for the academic year 2023-2024, which will be conducted exclusively in English.

The programme aims to deepen students in the dynamic and interdisciplinary field of geoinformatics, as well as spatial analysis, design, and development of various geospatial applications using state-of-the-art methods and technologies, in particular in the field of Informatics.

It also focuses on the enormous potential of geospatial data, revolutionising how information on the physical, technical and socio-economic environment is collected, georeferenced, interpreted, mapped, managed and understood.

Programme structure

It lasts at least three semesters and corresponds to 90 ECTS credits, starting in October each year.  The maximum duration of study is two years, calculated from the normal registration on the ICPM (i.e. without attending pre-requisite courses, if required).

It includes a master’s curriculum and specialisation courses, as well as the elaboration of postgraduate work. Successful completion of the programme leads to a Master of Science in Geoinformatics.
