Practical Penetration Testing with the Montimage Pentesting Toolbox

Practical Penetration Testing with the Montimage Pentesting Toolbox

This course provides a practical, hands-on introduction to penetration testing using the Montimage MMT-Pentester Toolbox, a web platform for planning, running and reporting authorised security tests. Participants carry out a complete engagement — from scoping and reconnaissance, through controlled exploitation, to professional reporting — entirely against provided, isolated lab targets.

Course objectives

  • Understand the penetration-testing lifecycle and the legal, ethical and scoping rules of authorised testing
  • Map work to industry methodologies and frameworks (PTES, the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Perform reconnaissance with Nmap and build a target's attack surface
  • Configure and run controlled attack scenarios (e.g. SSH brute-force and HTTP denial-of-service) and observe their detection
  • Interpret results, rate severity and produce clear, prioritised remediation reports
  • Apply AI-assisted testing concepts, including autonomous agents and integrated tool orchestration

By the end of this course, participants will have practical, tool-based penetration-testing skills that map directly to real security-testing and reporting workflows.
