TRUST–FOOD Blockchain Training Courses

TRUST-FOODis a Digital Europe project that designs and delivers short-term training courses for upskilling and reskilling of the labour force, with a particular focus on SMEs owners, managers, and employees in the Food Supply Chain sector.

The aim of this project is to support the development of advanced digital skills of people in the labour force, with a focus on SMEs, as well as to job seekers by providing access to high-quality specialised training courses, reflecting the latest developments in the area of Blockchain technologies applied holistically to the Food Supply Chain. The courses will be highly practical and will provide specific knowledge about key digital technologies of Blockchain and their applications to the Food Supply Chain. The courses will be also focusing on job seekers in the particular area.

More specifically, the TRUST-FOOD project offers a comprehensive series of short-term courses designed to advance digital skills with a focus on blockchain applications within the food supply chain. Participants will gain practical skills and knowledge on how blockchain technology can build trust, ensure food safety, and streamline operations from farm to fork. Our courses, available in multiple languages, are accessible to SME employees, business owners, and jobseekers, equipping them with valuable competencies for the evolving food industry. The platform also offers multilingual support, enabling participation from a diverse audience across various EU regions.

Objectives

  1. To support the development of advanced digital skills of people in the labour force, with a focus on SMEs, by providing affordable access to high-quality specialised training courses, reflecting the latest developments in BCT applied to the whole Food Supply Chain (from Farm to Fork).
  2. To engage an important number of business associations and digital innovation hubs so as to enhance cross-border area specific training on the long term. The project will combine the expertise of key research institutions, universities and IT SMEs so as to provide full training to the members of the associations and digital innovation hubs.
  3. Upskilling both labour force and jobseekers and augmenting the range of job opportunities. The project will aim at both these target groups as the market potential of the use of blockchain in the food value chain is very high.

The training offer

Courses are delivered through an accessible online learning platform that allows participants to engage in modules at their own pace. 

Additionally, some of the partner organizations combine self-guided digital content with live sessions, where learners can interact with instructors and industry experts to deepen their understanding of blockchain applications in food systems, utilizing the e-learning platform during the course. 

This blended format is designed to maximize flexibility, ensuring that SME employees, owners, and jobseekers can balance professional development with other commitments.
