This international initiative, organised by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pavia, combines virtual learning with in-person activities in Pavia. The programme aims to provide students and professionals with foundational and practical knowledge on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly Explainable and Trustworthy AI (XAI), in healthcare.This Winter School is part of the European project Digital Skills for Transformative Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (DIGI-ME), which is committed to educating a new generation of European leaders, equipping them with the skills to leverage digital tools and processes for transformative innovation in business and management. Its mission is to build and sustain a dynamic community of innovators ready to tackle future challenges across Europe’s key sectors. DIGI-ME is co-funded by the Digital Europe Programme of the European Union. About this programme Target audienceThe programme is open to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students from all academic backgrounds interested in AI applications in healthcare. It is also relevant for professionals, educators, and stakeholders at the intersection of technology and healthcare.ObjectivesMore broadly, this educational programme aims:To deliver a set of highly personalised educational and training programmes for future digital talents responding to actual and emerging skills needs;To develop a learning platform to manage personalised study plans;To develop a learning platform of advanced contents on digital skills for teachers, students and professionals to deliver the educational offers;To establish a sustainable network of HEIs, research centers, SMEs and Technological Parks;To attract qualified teaching staff and train the trainers in digital skills;To build a digital ecosystem for transformative innovation.
