A private non-profit association of public utility with its headquarters in Lisbon and represented throughout the country by 7 regional structures: Minho, North, Centre, Ribatejo e Oeste, Alentejo, Algarve and Madeira. DECO was founded in 1974 and already has more than 370,000 associates, being the main reference in Portugal in the defense of consumer rights.
It is with this objective that we are permanently beside citizens, so that they are more informed, enlightened, aware and empowered in the defense of their rights. We work for a more innovative and competitive economy and a fairer and more sustainable society.
In this sense, DECO's intervention is based on 3 fundamental pillars: a) Information; b) Training and Education and c) Consumer Representation.
