EUNICE AISBL is a non-profit organization founded under Belgian law in 2022 in Mons, Belgium. The signatories of the founding act were 7 Universities which are part of EUNICE European University:
- Poznan University of Technology, Poland
- Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus- Senftenberg, Germany
- University of Cantabria, Spain
- Univeristy of Mons, Belgium
- University of Catania, Italy
- University Polytechnic Hauts-De-France, France
- University of Vaasa, Finland
In September 2023, 2 more Universities joined the organization:
- Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Portugal
- University of the Peloponnese, Greece
We are currently waiting for the last university to join the EUNICE AISBL organization: Karlstad University, Sweden.
Selected objectives of EUNICE AISBL:
- to establish EUNICE European University as a highly recognized and attractive participant in university alliances at the European and international level
- to facilitate exchange and transdisciplinarity on research, training and innovation
- to co-create an open, creative, multi-centered, intercultural European University
- to nurture a new generation of Europeans capable of collaborating in several languages, across borders and disciplines;
- to co-construct an open, creative, multi-centric, intercultural and people-centered European University;
- to enable each partner to be an essential component of its region by contributing to its attractiveness, competitiveness and economic development;
- to anticipate the needs of society in terms of transportation, mobility, digitalization, smart cities, environment, energy and health;
- to tackle major global challenges using the strength of European values and leadership.
As part of this mission, particular consideration is given to inclusion, fairness, diversity and accessibility.
