We see Humans in the Loop as a springboard to virtual upskilling opportunities and remote work for conflict-affected and displaced people. We are a hybrid organization made up of two entities – a for-profit company and a charitable foundation. Our foundation leads trainings and courses in basic and intermediate IT skills and English language; online freelancing; image annotation; and digital marketing, with the aim to give our beneficiaries the skills that they need to find online work. The company provides our successfully graduated trainees with online remote work opportunities in the image annotation field, which are essential for the Artificial Intelligence industry.
We have a four-step system of recruiting and impacting conflict-affected individuals residing both in Bulgaria and in our partner locations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Our process begins by recruiting beneficiaries through our local and international NGO partner networks as all our activities are available online. The second step is offering trainings and course opportunities available through our charitable Humans in the Loop Foundation. Once a person has become part of our beneficiary database and has been successfully trained in digital skills, English language, and image annotation, they are ready to be provided with steps three and four - work and career development opportunities.
We provide one-to-one Career consultations where together with our Social Mediator, our beneficiaries can have their CVs created, can attend additional specialized self-paced online trainings (such as Introduction to Python, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) through our partner GoSkills, and have support in finding suitable job opportunities and submitting job applications. The second opportunity we provide is project-based paid work through the HITL company in image annotation.
