Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED) is a Greek non-profit, civil society organisation committed to the promotion of innovation and the enhancement of the entrepreneurial spirit. The purposes of our organization are to provide humanistic and developmental assistance to vulnerable populations and groups with actions that contribute towards the financial and social development, particularly in the sectors of sustainable development, health, education, basic social infrastructures, financial and social growth, as well as to the strengthening and promoting human rights and democratic respect. To achieve our goals, we have adopted a human-first approach and we cooperate with social, academic and business partners from across Greece, EU & beyond.
Established in 2005 in Larissa, Greece, iED is a certified Center of Excellence in European entrepreneurship and a Digital Innovation Hub, registered as member of the European Commission's catalogue of DIHs, that recognizes entrepreneurship as a crucial factor for the future of sustainable development and cohesion of societies. iED also is the Coordinator of a Designated European Digital Innovation Hub (EIDH) in Greece titled: “Health Hub: Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Industry Transformation through Artificial Intelligence Digital Services”. Health Hub is an one-stop-shop that delivers digital transformation services to SMEs in health and pharma sectors in boosting their outreach, precision, innovation and networking efforts.
We have participated in the planning, implementation and dissemination of various EU projects. Our team is familiar with the practical aspects of the implementation of large-scale co-funding projects, making us a reliable European project partner, especially in the E+ Program. It has also provided us with a wide network of more than 4.200 partner organizations from EU and beyond, including SMEs, start-ups, trade unions & chambers of commerce, HEIs, research centers, VET institutes, Civil Society Organizations, DIHs etc.
