Office of the Commissioner of Communications - Cyprus Digital Security Authority

The Digital Security Authority (DSA) operating under the Commissioner of Communications,  is Cyprus’s national body for cybersecurity, responsible for protecting Critical Information Infrastructures (CII) and implementing the EU NIS2 Directive. It operates the National CSIRT/SOC, delivering advanced security services and coordinating incident response across key sectors. The DSA also serves as the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC-CY), promoting innovation and capacity-building, and as the National Certification Authority for Cybersecurity (NCCA), overseeing cybersecurity certification under the EU Cybersecurity Act. It collaborates closely with EU and international partners, including ENISA and the ECCC.

The DSA actively promotes skills development through various initiatives, including the development of the ICT Academy of the Office of the Commissioner of Communications, which started its operations in December 2023, aiming to empower and educate individuals and Institutions, both on a National and on an International level. Through its projects and awareness campaigns, the DSA is committed to strengthening Cyprus’s digital resilience.
