OpenLab, along with its partner organizations, actively participates in the creation of modern education in the field of IT technologies. Together, we create an ecosystem that focuses on several areas of social problem - the mismatch of educational standards in IT vocational education to today's needs and market. The organization's goals are directly derived from our vision and mission, since we believe that an open approach and quality education are the foundation for the success of individuals as well as a thriving society.

We are searching for and creating a comprehensive system of solutions that aims to:

  • Establish standards for vocational high school education that are flexible and able to adapt to the changing conditions of the market and innovation
  • Increase the employability of high school graduates in the job market
  • Provide graduates with 21st-century skills
  • Regulate the brain drain to foreign countries
  • Mentor companies on how to involve junior interns in projects, and create opportunities that can keep talents in the country

In order to achieve the mentioned goals, we have created an education ecosystem, which is an environment composed of several groups: primary and secondary school students, parents, secondary schools, teachers, VÚC institutions and the private sector. Within this ecosystem, we primarily focus on formal education of students in secondary schools and secondarily on the education of teachers and the private sector. However, we form a community together, whose goal is to influence the quality of education and regulate the brain drain to foreign countries. We can only achieve these goals if we involve several groups in our activities that can have an impact on this societal issue.
