REZOS BRANDS is a healthy (functional) super food oriented Greek SME, founded in 1989 in Patras, Western Greece, manned with 55 employees and operating 5 branches around Greece. The company has 3 sectors of activity:
1). The Commercial, Distribution & Logistics department. Its focus is the establishment of efficient national and European sales and distribution networks of both imported and local food & beverages products. The department has invested in state-of-the-art monitoring systems and up-to-date warehouse and commercial management software, to ensure food safety & security to meet customers’ demands.
2) The multifunctional farm at Meteora offers a unique opportunity to upscale sea-buckthorn (hippophae) as the top Greek super fruit. Through the vertical business model adopted by the company, we aspire to launch to the European markets innovative functional foods based on Greek Mediterranean super fruits and aromatic herbs.
3) The European R&D Department: The primary goal of the department is to gather and analyze data, develop new theories and concepts, and contribute to the overall advancement of knowledge in our areas of focus. Our research department is staffed with researchers, scientists, and experts who collaborate on various projects. Overall, the department plays a vital role in driving innovation, problem-solving, and knowledge generation within our organization. The department’s main activities include:
Participation & implementation of EU projects (Digital Europe, Horizon Europe, H2020, Erasmus+, PRIMA, LIFE, BBI, EEA Grants, ENIMED etc.).
Research on new functional foods & drinks, food science & food technologies.
Development and implementation of training courses to raise ethical awareness among employees and other participants from the specific target groups we focus on, towards adhering to circular economy priorities and “green” regulations so as to respect and protect nature & the environment and promote sustainable development on the one hand and to digital skills in order to prepare individuals for the demands of an increasingly digital workplace on the other.
Developing smart platforms with digital/virtual & augmented technologies to provide full support on consultation, training, specialized recruitment, and digital services throughout the agri-food value chain.
