What we want to do at TechMeUp can best be seen as a circle. We select talented students, from underrepresented groups, help them study carefree by providing financial assistance, prepare them for the labor market, help them find a job, so that they can repay the study advance (interest-free loan) and we can lend this money to the next participant.
By retraining underprivileged students we improve their chances of a better life, which in turn creates a more diverse tech scene. Which creates new role models!
We focus on underprivileged students who are in a difficult financial situation. The boy of Moroccan descent who is currently an Uber Driver, and simply cannot pay his rent for three months without having an income. Or a single mother who did not finish her studies because of pregnancy, and after her first years of full-time motherhood wants to change her career path by following a coding bootcamp, but in return needs care for her children.
