Over the years, the University of Bucharest has developed partnerships with 152 universities around the world and is involved in 468 Erasmus + agreements. At the same time, the University of Bucharest is connected to national, regional, European and international university networks, including: The Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe (UNICA), The European University Association (EUA), The Balkan Universities Association (BUA), Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN), L’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS).
Since 2019, the University of Bucharest is part of CIVIS – a European University Alliance along with seven other prestigious European universities: University of Aix-Marseille, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Free University of Brussels, Autonomous University of Madrid, Sapienza University of Rome, University of Stockholm, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, joined, in 2021 and 2022, by the University of Glasgow, respectively the University of Lausanne.
