The University of Vaasa is a university located in Vaasa, Finland. It was founded in 1968 as a private business school. By 2004, the school had been established as a state-funded multi-disciplinary university with four faculties. The University’s school-based structure that came into effect in 2018, comprises the following four schools: School of Management, School of Marketing and Communication, School of Accounting and Finance, and the School of Technology and Innovations.
Today, there are over 4300 full-time equivalent students, 350 teaching and research faculty, and around 250 professional support staff. In its current structure, the University specializes in business studies, technology, communication and public administration in order to strengthen its national and international profile.
