EECONE ATLAS

The EECONE ATLAS is a tool that enables the exchange of information among stakeholders, Training Providers and potential future students, offering information on relevant courses to increase skills and competences in the field of digital transformation in the European green electronics landscape.
What is EECONE?
EECONE (European ECOsystem for greeN Electronics) is a European project designed to tackle the growing problem of electronic waste (e-waste). As digital technology becomes more embedded in our lives, managing its environmental impact—especially the waste it generates—has become critical. EECONE addresses this urgent issue by promoting practical, sustainable solutions that support the EU’s Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan.
With 49 partners from 16 countries across Europe, EECONE is a unique collaboration that brings together experts from the entire electronics value chain—manufacturers, researchers, policymakers, and consumers. Its interdisciplinary approach integrates social, economic, technical, and policy perspectives to reduce e-waste at every stage of a product’s life.
EECONE focuses on three key areas:
- Extending the life of electronic products through ecodesign, increased reliability, and easier repair
- Reducing and replacing materials in electronics to lessen environmental impact
- Improving circularity by enhancing reuse, recycling, and recovery of valuable components
Guided by the "6R" principle—Reduce, Reliability, Repair, Reuse, Refurbish, Recycle—EECONE aims to embed sustainability right from the design phase, ultimately moving towards a zero-waste electronics industry.
As a valuable digital skills resource, EECONE offers insights and knowledge for Europeans interested in green technology, sustainable innovation, and responsible electronics design—helping to build a more circular and environmentally conscious digital future.
The EECONE Atlas
The EECONE ATLAS is a web platform, developed by the EECONE project, which displays the most relevant training courses on green electronics in Europe. Training organisations, programmes and courses have been selected based on their capacity to up and re-skill the workforce of the sector. The EECONE ATLAS is free, permanently updated, linked to green electronics’ communities, it is an effective means to increase visibility, and a platform of training courses offered.
To help end users use the platform, the EECONE project has developed a Guidance document.
Current functionalities
