1st Conference of the National Coordination Centre for Cybersecurity Industry, Technology and Research (NCS)

The 1^st conference of the National Coordination Centre for Industry, Technology and Research in the field of Cyber Security (NCS), organised by HUP-ICT and CARNET is a key event aiming to encourage and improving cyber security in Croatia. 

The conference will be held from 18. 19 September 2024 at the National and University Library in Zagreb (entrance CroAtrium). The 2^nd day of the conference is dedicated to the topic of entrepreneurship, and strategies to boost the number of entrepreneurs in Croatia. 

Event details

Participants will get to discuss and dive deeper into topics like the increasing sophistication of cybersecurity mechanisms and the growing need for cybersecurity-informed measures and specialists in the private and public sector alike. Other topics include main legislative frameworks in the field, funding opportunties for projects focusing on boosting cybersecurity skills for citizens and the labour force (Digital Europe Programme; Horizon Europe). Selected projects (CroQCI; UnderSec) will also be presented. 

The 1st day will wrap up with a final workshop for approximately 30 people, targeting specifically those without submitted proposals. Those that get to take part in the workshop will be taken through the entire application process, from start to finish; and will be given infomation on the call for proposals, how to navigate around the EU Funding and Tenders' Portal, and how to submit the application itself.
