The 2nd European Forum on Digital Citizenship Education will take place on 27-29 May in Strasbourg, bringing together countries from across Europe to reflect on progress made in helping people develop the skills needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

About the Forum

The Forum will look at key achievements so far and, importantly, focus on what comes next. Discussions will help shape a shared vision for the future of digital education, ensuring it keeps pace with rapid technological change and the needs of society. By encouraging collaboration, innovation and the exchange of ideas, the event aims to support education systems in preparing people of all ages to participate online with confidence and responsibility. 

The objectives of the Forum are:

  • Consolidate and leverage the lessons learnt from the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025, sharing high-impact outcomes and multipliable practices. 

  • Develop the action plan within the agreed framework of strategic pathways of the Road Map for Strengthening Digital Citizenship Education 2027-2031. 

  • Reinforce international co-operation on digital citizenship education and AI, aligning European initiatives and fostering sustained partnerships.
