Accessible EU – Your role to make higher education more accessible and inclusive

AccessibleEU, in the framework of the 17th International Conference of the Association for the Advance of Auxiliary Technologies in Europe (AAATE), has organised a workshop which aims to be an area of exchange of knowledge and good practices in order to advance the implementation of accessibility in higher education.

In particular, the workshop will equip the different actors in educational institutions with the necessary tools and knowledge to comply with the fundamental principles of Design for All (Universal Design) required by European legislation. The aim is to enable educators to empower future representatives of society on how to address the challenges that persons with disabilities may face in their professional activities.

The European Accessibility Resource Centre (AccessibleEU) is one of the key initiatives proposed in the European Commission’s Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030. The consortium working on this project consists of ENAT, EASPD, Johannes Kepler Linz University, UNE and led by ONCE Foundation.
