AI in Science Summit 2026

Event location
UCD O'Reilly Hall and UCD O'Connor Centre for Learning, University College Dublin, Belfield, Dublin, Co. Dublin, D04 V1W8, Ireland

The annual AI in Science (AIS) summit is the flagship EU conference driving the implementation of the European Strategy on AI in Science. The 2026 AI in Science Summit (AIS26) is coordinated by University College Dublin and Taighde Éireann-Research Ireland in association with Ireland’s EU Presidency Programme and part of the European AI Innovation Month.

The event will bring together scientists, industry leaders, investors and policymakers to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on scientific discovery — and how Europe can drive this transformation with a distinctive and responsible approach.

The overarching theme for AIS26 is 'Reaching a New Level of Ambition in Research and Innovation' for the public and private sectors. AI is more than an incremental enabler of existing methods, it can be a pathway to fundamentally different approaches and whole new areas of research.
