Code to competitiveness – How can digital skills power Europe’s future?

Virtual Live

On 22 September 2025, Euractiv will host a virtual conference to assess the European Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan at its midway stage and explore the future of digital skills in Europe. The discussion will focus on the upcoming 2025 update of the Digital Competence Framework, the role of digital skills in boosting the EU’s competitiveness, and whether current policies and investments are enough to close the skills gap.

Taking place in the run-up to EU Code Week 2025 (11–26 October), the event will provide a timely opportunity to reflect on progress so far and debate the next steps for building a digitally skilled Europe.
