Cybersecurity conference CyberChess 2022

Virtual Live

Registration has been opened for the cybersecurity conference CyberChess 2022, which will happen on the 4th and 5th of October. The conference is organised by CERT.LV and the Latvian Internet Association (LIA) in close cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, LMT, dots, Tet, Cyber Circle, Cybexer Technologies and CTF Tech.

The conference is divided into three blocks:

  • CyberChess 2022, the main session of the conference which will mainly focus on cybersecurity in a strategical and political context, bringing light to the challenges on both a national and a European level. This session will take place on the 4th of October, throughout the whole day, both onsite and online.
  • CyberShock, the technical session which will take a deep-dive into more technical cybersecurity topics, various use cases will be shown and explained with the help of live demos. It will take place from 14:00 to 18:00 on the 4th of October, both on-site and online. On the 5th of October, the session will be viewable online.
  • The “Capture The Flag” (CTF)* competition will take place online throughout the both days.

Target audience: National and local authorities responsible for IT security, IT security specialists, information system auditors, IT security enthusiasts, researchers and other stakeholders.

Registration: open till September 27 and attendance is free of charge. After the conference, all registered participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Participation to the event is free of charge. Please note that due to limited space onsite, priority for onsite participation will be given to the employees of governmental organizations.

*This will be a third year in a row when CERT.LV offers Capture the Flag challenge to the teams of 5, where participants can test their skills in such fields as cryptography, web analysis, forensics or binary. Challenge takes place online throughout 4-5 October. Teams can apply by filling in the application form. TOP three winning teams will get prizes from CERT.LV.
