The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform is back with the 13th episode of  the Digital Skills Talks, a series of short and interactive monthly conversations with top experts from across Europe. These talks aim to highlight emerging digital technologies and the essential skills needed to navigate them. 

On 18 June at 09:00 CEST, we turn our focus to Quantum Technologies – a field poised to radically transform computing, communications, and cybersecurity.

Join us for a 30-minute discussion with two leading voices from the European quantum ecosystem to understand how quantum literacy is becoming an essential part of the digital skills landscape.

Meet the speakers

  • Tommaso Calarco, Leading Quantum Physicist and Professor, University of Cologne and University of Bologna. A renowned scientist and one of the founding figures of the EU Quantum Flagship, Tommaso brings deep insights into the current state of quantum research and its translation into industrial applications.

  • Jacob Friis Sherson, Director, European Quantum Readiness Center, Aarhus University.
    As coordinator of the European Quantum Readiness Center and the DIGIQ project, Jacob works at the intersection of education, industry, and innovation to prepare Europe's workforce for the quantum future.
