Eagle Conference: Challenges in digital skills in SMEs

The EAGLE Conference, taking place on January 23, 2025, in Burgos, Spain, as part of the activities of the EAGLE Project; focuses on addressing the challenges that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face in their digital transformation journey and the development of essential digital skills.
The keynote address, delivered by Luis Ignacio Vicente de Olmo, CIO of ABB – ASTI Mobile Robotics, will highlight the challenges SMEs encounter in digital transformation and the skills required to overcome them. The conference also features two panel discussions: one on "Business Intelligence and Data Analysis," examining how to integrate analytics into corporate strategies and foster innovation, and another on "New Digital Professions and STEM Challenges," addressing the academic and professional demands of STEM fields.
The event aims to bridge the gap between academic talent and the evolving demands of the business sector, making it a key initiative for advancing digital transformation in SMEs. Hosted in the auditorium of FAE Burgos, with simultaneous translation into Spanish and streaming via YouTube, the conference ensures accessibility to a wide audience.
By facilitating dialogue between academia and industry, the EAGLE Conference positions itself as a vital platform for equipping SMEs with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age.
