European Historic Houses HERIT Final Conference and Generative AI workshop

As the Erasmus+ funded HERIT project comes to an end, European Historic Houses (EHH) is organising multiple events to celebrate this. On May 23 2023, participants will be able to take part in the final HERIT Conference diving into the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) of the project, a Roundtable on Skills, and a workshop on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Social Media Storytelling for Cultural Heritage.
Through this event, participants can expect to hear about the HERIT MOOC which aims to equip owners and managers of private historic houes with the skills and knowledge needed to maintain historic buildings and to improve their expertise in the use of technological tools. One of the project partners of HERIT, the University of A Coruña, will present the outcomes of the project, the modules of the MOOC, and features of the platform. Additionally participants will be able to hear testimonials from students who successfully completed the training.
Following on from this first part, participants will be able to take part in a discussion on relevant skills for the cultural heritage sector framed by the European Year of Skills. The aim of this discussion will be to raise awareness of the private sector's needs in terms of skills and education.
Finally, before the networking dinner an educational workshop on Generative AI and Social Media Storytelling for Cultural Heritage will take place. This workshop will kick-off with a speech from Frédéric Faivre (Consultant Product Marketing, Communication & Innovation/Partner @The Next Mind) all about digital tools in the context of marketing heritage properties. Stephanos Germenis-Hildprandt, owner of Castle Blatna, will also share best practice examples on using social media. As this is a workshop, participants will be able to get hands-on experience with generative AI tools across three different themes. The results of this hands-on portion will be presented at the end of the workshop.
A networking dinner will be held after the event for EHH members, key partners and sponsors but is open to event participants depending on space limitations.
Registration is required for this event. The HERIT final conference and roundtable are free of charge but the workshop has a participation fee.
