EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023: European Championship of Young Professionals

EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 marks the great return of the biennial EuroSkills Competition, Europe's biggest event in vocational education and skills excellence. This year, EuroSkills Competition is co-organised by Poland’s Foundation For The Development Of The Education System (FRSE), WorldSkills Poland, WorldSkills Europe, the City of Gdańsk and AMBEREXPO Gdańsk and will be hosted in Poland for the first time from 5 to 9 September 2023. As the eighth edition of this prestigious contest, it promises to be an inspiring showcase of talent, innovation, and dedication from young professionals across the continent.
Organised by WorldSkills Europe in collaboration with 32 Member Countries, EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 will welcome 600 young professionals under the age of 25 from different nations to compete in 43 diverse skills and trades. Each candidate is required to demonstrate technical skills both individually and collectively to perform specific tasks for the skills they are studying and will need in the future. During the three-day event, EuroSkills Competitors are challenged to complete a test project or series of projects within strict time frames. Each of the 43 skills competitions requires a dedicated team of experts, workshop managers and volunteers in order to be held. WorldSkills Europe experts will represent their country and share their experience in skills, trade, or technology.
Around 100,000 visitors from across Poland and abroad are expected to attend the event and watch the competitors in action and try hands-on job-related skills at the many ‘Try-a-Skill’ demonstrations.
As EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 approaches, the excitement and anticipation continue to build, promising a memorable event that not only showcases the incredible talents of young professionals but also reinforces the significance of vocational education and skills excellence in shaping Europe's future workforce.
