The final chapter of Tech.Ship summer internships: More girls find their way to IT
The Tech.Ship project, supported by the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic (MIRRI SR), successfully completed its second year.
We are pleased to announce the end of the second year of Tech.Ship paid summer internships, which are aimed at supporting girls and women in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).
This project, implemented in cooperation with the Women's Algorithm civic association, allowed 18 talented high school students from Bratislava and Košice to gain valuable practical experience and develop their digital and team skills during the months of July and August.
Tech.Ship summer internships offered young girls a unique opportunity to work in paid tandems on real IT projects in reputable companies. Under the guidance of experts, trainees not only learned new technologies, but also developed mentoring relationships that support them on their way to a career in the IT sector.
Closing events will take place:
- Bratislava: 4 September at 3 p.m. in the premises of Kistler, Einsteinova 33
- Košice: September 9 at 3 p.m. in Technic, Nemcová 5
The Tech.Ship project is part of the measures of the Action Plan for the Development of Digital Technologies 2023-2026, which is sponsored by the MIRRI SR. Its aim is to increase the number of women in ICT professions in Slovakia, thus contributing to the development of an inclusive and innovative digital environment. Traineeships are covered by the APDTS 2023-2026 measure.
