International Girls in ICT Day 2025

On 24 April 2025 is International Girls in ICT Day 2025, an initiative that encourages young women and girls to explore careers in STEM by promoting the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). 

Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation

This year's International Girls in ICT Day 2025 theme is “Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation.” It aims to inspire them to pursue STEM education and actively involves the wider community to foster collaboration through partnerships. A key highlight of the Day will be an interactive intergenerational dialogue, bringing together girls, young women, women leaders, and ICT experts for dynamic discussions on how to bridge the gender digital divide and achieve a truly inclusive digital transformation.

This dialogue aims to inspire both current and future generations of girls and women to lead, innovate, and thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected world. It will also be an opportunity for government officials, leaders in the ICT sector, and representatives from the ITU-D Network of Women and beyond to come together and demonstrate a united commitment to empowering all girls and young women to ensure an inclusive digital transformation process and build a barrier-free digital future.
