Jornadas do futuro – INNOVATION AND REGENERATION

On April 12, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., AI9.PT will hold the 1st Edition of the Days of the Future with the theme Innovation and Regeneration , where we will discuss the challenges and opportunities.
It will be an important day for AI9.PT with the launch of the António dos Reis Prize, a tribute to our honorary president and founder, who will be a symbol of our ambition to recognize and value talent.
Innovation and Regeneration
The traditional concept of innovation, often associated only with economic or technological development, needs to be rethought and expanded. This Day proposes to move beyond conventional approaches, looking at innovation as a cross-cutting process, involving not only technologies, but also forms of social organization, inclusive economic models, restorative environmental practices and renewed political and institutional structures.
The aim is to promote a reflection on how innovation can drive positive transformations, able to respond effectively to today's complex challenges. Participants are invited to discuss innovative strategies that promote social well-being, regenerate environmental ecosystems, strengthen circular and sustainable economies, renew trust in institutions and actively contribute to a fairer, more resilient and future-proof society.
With all the dynamics present, we live in a critical moment in which it is no longer enough to talk about sustainability as a way to maintain the balance between economic growth, environmental protection and social development. It is necessary to go beyond preservation and embrace the broader and more dynamic concept of regeneration.
Regeneration involves not only conserving, but recovering, revitalising and renaturalising systems and communities, creating a positive impact on the social, economic, environmental, political and institutional dimensions. This panel proposes an in-depth reflection on how we can move beyond the traditional logic of sustainability to implement regenerative strategies, capable of restoring ecological balance, reducing social inequalities, promoting fairer economies, more resilient citizenship, renewing political trust and strengthening democratic institutions.
It is in this context that we challenge participants to explore practical and inspiring paths that transform current challenges into concrete regeneration opportunities for a fairer, more prosperous and inclusive future.
