Hosted online by Riga Technical University, the event will bring together representatives from academia, industry, and the MERIT student community to discuss the role of artificial intelligence competencies in engineering education and professional practice. The workshop will take the form of an interactive round-table discussion, creating a space for dialogue between higher education institutions, industry stakeholders, and students. The discussion will focus on how academic programmes can respond to technological developments, labour market expectations, and the growing demand for AI-related skills. A key focus of the event will be the MERIT study programme “Management of Smart, Resilient, and Interconnected Systems”, developed at Riga Technical University. Participants will reflect on how the programme supports the development of both technical and managerial competencies, helping prepare professionals able to work at the intersection of engineering, innovation, artificial intelligence, and strategic decision-making.Why this event?
