Presenting the Digital Competence Framework: DigComp 3.0

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) will present the DigComp 3.0, the latest update to Europe’s flagship Digital Competence Framework, at a dedicated online event on 12 December 2025. 

With DigComp already adopted in at least 22 Member States and used as the basis for 27 certification schemes across 25 countries, the new version marks an important milestone for policymakers, employers, educators, and researchers working to strengthen digital skills across Europe.

The event will introduce the new features and scientific foundations behind DigComp 3.0. Participants will gain insights into how the framework has evolved to reflect emerging technologies, societal needs, and the growing demand for digital readiness in both education and the labour market.
