The world around us is changing dramatically quickly and is subject to shocks. The stage in which we find ourselves as a company can be referred to as X.
X is for us a symbol of a crossroads where we have to decide which path to take. Will we continue the race to develop artificial intelligence that will soon surpass human intelligence, or will we restrict or ban it for the survival of humanity? Will we “humanise” robots so that they are soon indistinguishable from humans, or will we rather “improve” humans by integrating advanced robotic systems in the human body? Will we continue to achieve our ambitious climate targets, even if it means destroying our own industry and well-being? Will we defend ourselves against more technologically advanced competition by introducing trade barriers or will we choose to increase our own innovation performance and competitiveness?
SlovakiaTech 2025 will look for possible answers to the “cross-cutting” challenges of the world – innovation, business and technology. It will also be a platform for finding solutions for the re-industrialisation of Slovakia towards higher added value, overcoming the middle-income trap, increasing resilience (economic, cyber, climate, ...) to external stressors and shocks, and looking for a profitable but environmentally friendly economic model of Slovakia's future. The Digital Coalition will be part of the SlovakiaTech Forum-Expo in Košice.
