Tomorrow's Tech Today Conference

On 7 - 8 February the Belgian Presidency organises the Tomorrow's Tech Today conference in Ghent, Belgium. The Conference is a comprehensive two-day event dedicated to exploring aspects of digital transformation with a focus on sustainability. 

• Day 1: led by Belgian Minister of Telecom and Deputy Prime Minister Petra De Sutter, the conference will look closely at the nexus of green transition and digital transformation (‘green digital twin transition’) and will be discussed at all levels: EU-level, country-level, regional-level and local level. With a focus on more sustainable telecommunications and data centres and the role of digital infrastructure and digital solutions in achieving the objectives of the Green Deal.

• Day 2: led by Secretary of State for Digitalisation Mathieu Michel, will focus on the ethics, governance and infrastructure dimensions of new technologies. A session will be dedicated to the contribution of blockchain to innovation-driven growth, with a particular attention to initiatives of Member States and the EU.
