Almost 600 ICT employees upgraded digital skills in Latvia in LIKTA project Created byAndra Krasavina|Updated14 August 2025On 14 June 2024, the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA) signed a cooperation agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA) on the project "Improvement of Digital Technology and Process Management Skills in Latvian Enterprises" (Agreement No. 2.3.1.2.i.0/2/24/A/CFLA/007). The project is being implemented within the framework of the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan, Component 2 "Digital Transformation," Reform and Investment Direction 2.3 "Digital Skills," Investment 2.3.1.2.i. "Development of Digital Skills in Enterprises," 2nd round.Project ObjectiveProject objective is to enhance the digital technology and process management skills of employees in micro, small, medium, and large enterprises in the Republic of Latvia for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of digitalization, robotization, and automation, by providing relevant training programs, thereby promoting digital transformation and innovation, as well as increasing export capacity.Project Progress and ImpactIn the period up to June 1 of this year, more than 150 training sessions have taken place, where 578 employees from ICT and other sectors have expanded their knowledge. More than 100 companies have actively participated in the project's implementation, utilizing the EU-provided opportunity with 100% support to develop their employees' digital skills and enhance their knowledge.
