European AI Innovation Month: Flagship summits, online and in-person connection Created byRosemary Sheridan|UpdatedagoEuropean AI Innovation Month brings together policymakers, industry, public sector, and research together to discuss and showcase how AI is being developed and applied across EU industry sectors.From 14 October to 17 November 2026, this initiative led by the European Commission (in partnership with the upcoming Irish Presidency of the Council)promotes a series of online and in-person events showcasing AI innovation and adoption across Europe.Flagship summitsThe focal points for this month’s series of events are 3 flagship summits:International AI Summit14 October – Dublin, IrelandAs part of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026, Ireland will host the International AI Summit, as the official launch of European AI innovation Month. This flagship event, under the theme harnessing AI to revolutionise Europe’s competitiveness, will bring together EU & global leaders, Heads of Government, CEOs, investors, innovators, and academics. The AI Summit will be a high-level platform for discussion, collaboration, and strategic dialogue on the opportunities for future application of artificial intelligence in Europe and globally. AI in Science Summit15 OctoberThe AI in Science Summit will convene scientists from various scientific domains, industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore the transformative impact of AI in scientific discovery and how Europe can drive it with a distinctive and responsible approach. The event includes high-level political sessions and thematic workshops on the impact of AI in each scientific field, focusing on driving investment and policy to unlock their potential. Apply AI Summit17 November – Brussels and onlineThe Apply AI Summit marks the first anniversary of the Apply AI Strategy and concludes the European AI Innovation Month. It will bring together high-level policymakers, start-ups, and industrial stakeholders to discuss how AI is strengthening Europe’s competitiveness across industries and the public sector. The Summit will focus on sectoral AI applications and success stories made in Europe as well as innovative projects fundamentally contributing to turning Europe into an AI Continent. Conference platform and partner eventsThroughout the month, the Virtual Conference Platform – an immersive, fair-style virtual environment – will create a seamless experience that links the summits together and enables continuous exchanges throughout the month, broadening outreach.
