Lithuania among the leaders at the World Summit Awards (WSA)
2026 starts with the good news from the world! The World Summit Awards (WSA) 2025 published a ‘short list’ of decisions following an intensive assessment by an international online jury.
Of the 8 decisions nominated for the WSA 2025 competition from Lithuania, as many as 6 were included in this ‘short list’ and will continue to fight in the next stage, where they will be assessed by the international Grand Jury. Therefore, Lithuania is one of the leaders of this year's competition at this stage, because only two other countries - Germany and Brazil - have the same number (6 finalists each); Australia and Austria each have 5 finals.
Lithuanian solutions in the WSA 2025 shortlist:
- Apgink.lt – Digital Matchmaker for Civil Defense
- eHealth – eHealth mobile application “health”
- EditAI
- Roots of Lithuania. Lithuanian Heritage Explorer
- TripCare
- Sensepilot
The full list of shortlisted WSA 2025 solutions can be found here.
Next step: WSA Grand Jury, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 26 to 29 January. The shortlisted solutions will be assessed in detail by international experts, and the best of them will be included in the final list of WSA 2025 laureates.
Under the auspices of the United Nations, the World Summit Awards aim to discover meaningful digital innovations from different corners of the world, addressing specific societal or community challenges in a creative and innovative way, and to communicate these success stories and experiences to a global audience, empowering the transfer of experience and knowledge between countries, regions and people around the world. The national selection phase of the World Summit Awards in Lithuania is organised by the State Agency for Digital Solutions together with partners.
Congratulations to all Lithuanian teams who have successfully completed the first stage and wish them success in the final evaluation. We are proud to see Lithuania prominently on the global digital innovation map!
