Virtual Worlds, also referred to as metaverse or multiverse, are persistent, immersive environments that blend physical and digital worlds in real-time. These technologies, including 3D and extended reality (XR), enable various purposes such as designing, simulating, collaborating, learning, socializing, and providing entertainment. VWs technologies are used in many contexts such as education and training (e.g. as simulations), gaming, immersive experiences (e.g. virtual tours) and design.
