These technologies, including 3D and extended reality (XR), enable various purposes such as designing, simulating, collaborating, learning, socializing, and providing entertainment. VWs technologies are used in many contexts such as education and training (e.g. as simulations), gaming, immersive experiences (e.g. virtual tours) and design.The European Commission is conducting a study titled "Observing the Evolution of Virtual Worlds," to explore several aspects related to the Virtual Worlds segment. Among different actions within this study, the European Commission has launched a survey to analyse the digital skills gaps in the Virtual Worlds (VW) segment. Managers, CEOs, and department heads from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and larger organizations are invited to participate in this study and share their insights on the skills and capabilities required by employees in the VW industry.The SurveyThe survey aims to identify the specific skills employees need to transition to the virtual worlds field, with an emphasis on segment-specific requirements. It also investigates recruitment practices and challenges, and other related aspects. The survey consists of 29 compulsory items, organized across various topics, and should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.Why Participate?Your participation will significantly contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the digital skills landscape in the Virtual Worlds segment.
