Quantum Computing - the Soft Way (QTindu) Created byGalina MISHEVA|Updated17 November 2025OnlineQuantum computing – the Soft Way is a hands-on introduction to quantum programming and computing, designed to get you experimenting with quantum software today. If you’re familiar with vectors and matrices—or ready to give it a refresh—we’ll guide you from key concepts to writing and running real quantum circuits on currently available platforms. This course is developed within the scope by the QTindu (Quantum Technologies courses for Industry) project. The QTindu project is funded under the DIGITAL Europe Programme of the European Union and aims to bridge the gap between technology development and industry needs. About this course Quantum Computing – the Soft Way offers a practical introduction to the fundamentals of one of today’s most transformative technologies. Moving beyond bract theory, the course explains how quantum computers encode, process, and extract information through measurement. Learners will explore the essential building blocks of quantum circuits and will be invited to experiment directly with quantum programming in coding Sandboxes. A basic understanding of linear algebra and coding is recommended, with detailed prerequisites and supporting resources provided in the first section. The learning experience combines visual explanations, interactive tools, and hands-on activities, complemented by exercises that track progress and engagement. The course is designed to develop both conceptual clarity and practical skills, while providing learners with the vocabulary and intuition required to engage with quantum experts, assess the potential of quantum computing, and understand how quantum approaches fundamentally differ from classical ones.Course structureThe course is structured from key concepts in quantum physics to the essential elements to build and run quantum circuits, including: IntroductionEncoding InformationQubits, superposition, and entanglementProcess information – quantum logic gatesReading information – quantum measurementQuantum algorithms– let’s startWrap-UpTarget audience: who is this course for?Software Developers, Engineers, Data Scientists, Technical Managers and everyone outside the field interested in pursuing a career in quantum technologyLearning outcomesIdentify the fundamental differences between classical and quantum computing, and how they enable new approaches to tackle complex problems;Describe and manipulate quantum states, with practical experience in processing and reading quantum information;Build and run simple quantum circuits, and confidently interpret their results on real quantum computing platforms;Further details Navigate to the course's page on the QTindu website via here, and discover "the soft way" to quantum expertise.
