VMware IT Academy: Getting Started in IT

VMware IT Academy enables instructors at academic institutions to deliver authorized VMware course in a variety of settings.

The course "Getting Started in IT" provides an overview of the key concepts related to the world of IT. Upon completion of this micro-course, the learner will have the basic understanding of compute, software, data centers, cloud. Additionally, the learner will be able to set up a virtual machine and create a web page in html. Objectives of the course

The course aims to achieve three objectives:

• Prepare the learner for the VMware associate course offerings in various technology domains from cloud and digital workspace over networking to security and application modernization.
• Provide the learner with the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills to build their own small private data center with file, web, email, DNS, VPN, and firewall services.
