ONCE Foundation is opening a call for grants for students with disabilities who wish to receive individual training on digital skills. The initiative, part of ONCE's Digital Talent Programme, seeks to boost the employability of people with disabilities for specialised, highly qualified technical job positions.

European Students from 16 years onwards and with a legally recognised disability of 33 % or more and holding a compulsory secondary education degree or equivalent may apply for the scholarship. As a requisite, they must be already pre-registered, enrolled or undergoing a technological or digital training programme provided by an institution/body officially accredited as a training centre. The scholarships may also be applied for by foreigners who hold a legal authorization to reside in Spain.

The grant awarded will amount to 80 % of the total amount of the training action and up to a maximum of EUR 10.000 per application. The process begins with the submission of each application. Once received, the application will be studied individually and a decision will be made on whether or not to award the grant. The call will remain open until the financial envelope is exhausted.

The technological and digital revolution is transforming the labor market and favoring in many cases the accessibility of people with disabilities to new jobs, while requiring the acquisition of new technological skills for a good professional performance. With this scholarship, ONCE aims to help people with disabilities to acquire the technological competencies and skills necessary for the professional profiles in greatest demand in the market and also reduce the gender digital gap.
